Cette année encore, le Hackathon Stingray s'est révélé être une vitrine spectaculaire de créativité et de maîtrise technique, porté par un élan collectif vers l'innovation. Plus de 60 employés ont participé, travaillant sur une quinzaine de projets durant 3 jours intensifs.

Cette année encore, Stingray a fièrement participé au 48 heures vélo de la fondation Rêves d’enfants, un événement annuel qui rassemble des équipes de tous horizons en soutien à une noble cause : réaliser les rêves d’enfants atteints de maladies graves.

Not just a mere bike ride; this event is an extraordinary mission that touches the hearts of countless children battling critical illnesses, granting them the precious gift of hope and joy.

L’ADISQ a dévoilé le nom des artistes et des professionnels de l’industrie en nomination aux Galas de l’ADISQ 2023 (le Gala de l’industrie, le Premier Gala et le Gala de l’ADISQ). Au total, ce sont 263 albums, 69 spectacles et 62 vidéoclips qui ont été recensés pour cette 45e édition.

Nous sommes ravis d'annoncer que la talentueuse Édelène Fitzgerald est la lauréate du Prix Oliver-Jones du Festival International de Jazz de Montréal. Ce prix, nommé en l'honneur du célèbre pianiste de jazz montréalais Oliver Jones, est décerné chaque année à un artiste ou groupe qui se distingue par son talent exceptionnel et sa contribution à la scène jazz. 
 
Elle met aussi la main sur le Prix Étoiles Stingray d’une valeur de 5000$ ! Cette bourse vise à soutenir le développement de sa carrière musicale, lui permettant de continuer à créer, à innover et à inspirer. 

The Stingray Auction: working towards a greener tomorrow 

Last June, Stingray gave recycling a new purpose, and one that would benefit a greater environmental cause. The company held an auction where employees were offered the chance to give a second whirl to a medley of computer and audio equipment deemed worthy of further use, but that didn’t quite make the cut as office equipment. The ultimate goal? Donating the proceeds to an eco-friendly organization. 

This was a win-win-win situation: interdepartmental collaboration, a community fundraising project, and a nod to World Environment Day. 

Successful interdepartmental collaboration  

Stingray's Helpdesk department was a driving force behind it all, having gathered and catalogued the vast collection of items over several months. With all the loot assembled, the Social Committee jumped in to hype up the event and handle the overall strategy. And given the green nature of the initiative, it was only natural that the Committee turned to the Stingray Ecology Club to pick the fundraiser’s lucky beneficiary. 

Thanks to the Operations team and the Helpdesk, the cafeteria was transformed into a buzzing auction house, brimming with treasures waiting to find a new home.  

For an entire afternoon, employees from the Montreal and Boisbriand offices were able to bid to their heart’s desire on the many items up for grabs: from audio and video equipment to computers, and even furniture. 

Community involvement at the heart of our values 

This event was more than just a fun afternoon of bargain hunting. It was a testament to our ethos of environmental and social responsibility, and community involvement – a proud reflection of our values and priorities as an organization. 

Not only did the auction offer the perfect opportunity to raise awareness among our employees, but it also afforded us the ability to support an important cause. 

Together, we raised a whopping $9,664, and with a little top-up from Stingray to round things up, we were able to donate a total of $10,000 to Équiterre, a key partner in our environmental endeavors.  

En juin dernier, Stingray a organisé une vente aux enchères d’articles de seconde main dans ses locaux, proposant aux employés de donner une nouvelle vie à divers équipements informatique et audio fonctionnels qui ne correspondent plus aux normes internes.

Cette initiative a non seulement favorisé la collaboration entre les différents départements de l'entreprise autour d’un projet communautaire mais a également permis à Stingray de soutenir une cause importante en l'honneur de la Journée mondiale de l'environnement. 

Une collaboration interdépartementale réussie  

Cette initiative éco-responsable a été orchestrée par le département Helpdesk de Stingray, qui a travaillé à réunir et répertorier le matériel disponible durant plusieurs mois. Une fois la totalité des articles réunis, le Comité Social a été impliqué pour promouvoir l’événement et définir la stratégie globale. Étant donné qu’il s’agissait d’une initiative écologique, c’est tout naturellement que le Comité s’est tourné vers les membres du Club Écologie de Stingray pour définir ensemble l’organisme bénéficiaire. 

Aidés par l’équipe des Opérations et le Helpdesk, ils ont transformé la Cafétéria en une véritable salle des ventes afin de pouvoir exposer les articles disponibles. 

Durant toute une après-midi, les employés de Montréal et Boisbriand ont pu découvrir les différents lots proposés en encan : matériel audio, vidéo, ordinateurs, meubles... autant d’articles parfaitement fonctionnels qui n’attendaient que de rejoindre leur nouveau foyer ! 

L'implication communautaire au cœur de nos valeurs 

Si cet événement a permis de renforcer les liens entre les employés et de favoriser un esprit de coopération, il a également mis en lumière notre responsabilité sociale pour soutenir une cause importante. 

Chez Stingray, nous sommes fiers de notre engagement envers la responsabilité sociale et l'implication communautaire. La vente aux enchères a été l'occasion idéale pour sensibiliser nos employés et pour soutenir des organisations qui partagent nos valeurs.  

Ensemble, nous avons récolté la somme impressionnante de 9 664 $. Grâce à la contribution de Stingray pour arrondir ce montant, nous sommes fiers de remettre un total de 10 000 $ à Équiterre, un partenaire clé dans notre démarche environnementale.
