Afgelopen zondag op 23 april hebben Radu Ratering, piano (12 jaar), Sasha Witteveen, contrabas (13 jaar), Pelle van Esch, bastrombone (15 jaar) en Theodoor Heyning, cello (17 jaar) een eerste prijs gewonnen tijdens de Nationale Finale van het Prinses Christina Concours. De finale vond plaats in het Zuiderstrandtheater in Scheveningen. De winnaars ontvingen de prijzen uit de handen van Prinses Christina, naamgever van het concours.

De afgelopen maanden nemen honderden jonge muzikanten in de leeftijd van 12 tot en met 19 jaar uit alle hoeken van Nederland deel aan de selectieronden. Vervolgens werden acht jonge musici geselecteerd die in de finale mochten meedingen voor de prijzen.
