Stingray Qello just released an exclusive concert video of GRAMMY Award-winning worship singer-songwriter Tasha Cobbs Leonard. The spectacular show, entitled Heart. Passion. Pursuit.: Live at Passion City Church, was recorded in 2018 in Atlanta, and is now available on all Stingray Qello’s platforms.

Every year, the Academy of Country Music awards the most talented country artists of the year. The 54th ACM Awards took place in sunny Las Vegas, on April 7, and was hosted by the amazing Reba McEntire (for the 16th time!). Country legends, including Keith Urban, Dan + Shay, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves, and Luke Combs attended the epic show to celebrate country music.

The weeks around Good Friday and Easter are a busy period for Baroque ensembles and choirs. Many of the beautiful Passions that were written and composed for this time of the year are performed all over the world. One Easter tradition started at the beginning of the 17th century in Leipzig. Now, it has become a big tradition for classical music fans and enthusiasts. Stingray showcases these beautiful compositions on different platforms and services.

An international trade fair, exhibition, and renowned festival, ! is one of the jazz community's most important annual events. Hosted in Bremen, Germany, it brings together musicians, bookers, agents, organizers, jazz experts, and music enthusiasts. Jazzahead! 2019 pays special attention to Norwegian jazz and this year’s edition selected 40 different jazz acts from all over the world inviting them to perform over the course of three days. From viral sensations to promising up-and-comers, 2019 is producing an incredible crop of new artists that remind us why we listen to music at all. Here are some of our favorites so far. 

On Saturday March 16, 2019, Stingray presented the Video of The Year award accompanied by a $3,000 bursary. This year’s Stingray Rising Stars nominees were Peter Huang, Ben Knechtel, Andrew Hines, Ali Eisner, and Andrew de Zen. The bar was set high as last year’s winner was innovative artist Claire Boucher aka Grimes. This year, 2007 Stingray Rising Stars winners Tokyo Police Club introduced the award mentioning how invaluable the support from Stingray was for their career.

The musical brains behind The Cinematic Orchestra, founder Jason Swinscoe and longtime musical collaborator Dominic Smith, seem to be very pleased with the general reception of their last studio release, and its opening track “To Build a Home,” in particular. The overall atmosphere of the new album resembles its predecessor in many ways: the specific tempo, vocal presence, and certain harmonic patterns all add to the feeling that “To Believe” looks back to the past rather than the future. Perhaps it was the huge success of “To Build a Home” that influenced the ensemble's musical direction, as to this day the track recorded in collaboration with Canadian singer-songwriter Patrick Watson features on various movies, TV, and radio programs.
