We’re digging in: recording, re-writing, getting notes, starting over. We have the live show up and we’re having fun out there, but right now it’s all about making new music. We’re enjoying the process and loving what we do. Release date tbd.

What caught our eyes and ears: sweet melodies and their beautiful version of carpool karaoke.

1 genre to describe your music

Mmm, I would say we are indie folk? Definitely not traditional folk by any means, but we do have aspects in our sound reminiscent of more “old-time” rootsy music, like The Carter Family or, one of our idols, Gillian Welch. That being said, more and more we are exploring contemporary and different styles.

1 random fun fact about Ocie Elliott

We almost called ourselves Foxymoron, but we couldn’t agree upon which one of us would be the fox and which one would be the moron...

Many! Our current touring partners Sons Of the East from Australia, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings (of course), Shovels and Rope, Anna Leone and Caamp (a great band out of the US that we’ll be playing with in Vancouver this Fall.)

Well, we are just at the tail end of a European tour and we also plan on releasing our new, 7-song album sometime very soon.  Hoping to get on an across-Canada tour this fall, go on a writing retreat up in some snowy mountains, and head back to Europe as soon as possible. Oh, and play in Brazil and Australia...or anywhere, really — we’re very open and excited for whatever may come our way. :) A show in an ice castle perhaps?

In 2009, I did this gig in France, when going out from stage, I stumbled over a stage monitor and literally fell flat. A short loop video of it exists, but it never was released public ?

The next album is as intimate as the 7ft by 7ft room we wrote it in. We wrote it in 3 weeks, it's moody; like a hymn with low bass.
