Hot Country Canada | Fresh Vibe

There’s an irony that many of today’s top Canadian country music stars live and record in Nashville but don’t see a lot of love on the American country charts. It’s even more ironic when you consider the international success of Canadian artists in pretty well every other music genre where they’re constantly found at the top of those charts. There have been a few exceptions over the years (Shania Twain, Terry Clark, Michelle Wright and more recently High Valley) but generally, they’re not overly exposed on US country music radio.

But country music is certainly alive and well and thriving in Canada of course, with constant national touring and radio exposure happening with our top country performers as well as award recognition by the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and Junos.

Reflecting all this is Stingray Music’s Hot Country Canada channel. It’s a 24/7 contemporary country music stream showcasing 100% Canadian country music artists. You’ll hear the likes of Canada’s biggest country stars like Dean Brody, Jess Moskaluke, Brett Kissel, Dallas Smith, Meghan Patrick, George Canyon, James Barker Band and the latest releases by many more charting up and comers. This special Vibe stream is updated weekly with the latest releases too.

Brett Kissel - Airwaves

This latest album has already produced 2 top ten singles, “We Were That Song” and “Anthem”. A perennial favorite, Brett has already racked up over a dozen awards wins including multiple CCMA Male Artist, Album, Video, and Fan’s Choice of the Year.

Dallas Smith – Side Effects

This is an album that almost qualifies as a greatest hits collection! It boasts seven top-ten singles, including four number-ones (“Autograph,” “Side Effects,” “Sky Stays This Blue,” and “Sleepin’ Around.”) Produced by Joey Moi (Nickelback, Florida Georgia Line) it was the 2017 CCMA Album of the Year.

Jess Moskaluke

This young Saskatchewan born powerful vocalist hit the ground running after she won the Stingray sponsored 2011 New Artist Showcase at the CCMAs. Two more CCMA awards and Junos have been bestowed upon her and more are sure to come her way from her latest album, “Past the Past.”

High Valley

Bro-Country who are real brothers! Brad and Curtis Rempel are from rural Alberta who made the switch from farming to country music in 1997. Their multiple Canadian-only top-ten singles records are about to be eclipsed their recent signing to Atlantic Records Nashville with their March 2018 entry into the US top-ten with their song, “She’s with Me.”

Meghan Patrick

One to watch in the Canadian country music world. Already inked to Warner Music Canada as an artist and Ole Publishing in Nashville as a songwriter, Patrick has been collaborating with many of Nashville’s heavy-hitter writers. In 2017 she was honored with CCMA’s Female Artist of the Year and Rising Star awards. Her latest album, “Country Music Mad Me Do It” is destined to keep that trend going.
