Le Panda | FICG 2019 | Prix Étoiles Stingray

Nous avons pris la route le vendredi 23 août en direction de la belle ville de Granby pour assister à la grande finale du Festival international de la chanson de Granby (FICG). En explorant la ville avant la soirée si attendue, nous avons entendu de la musique partout : des vitrines dans de petites églises aux haut-parleurs sur la Principale. De la musique il y en a à Granby!

Canadian Country Music Awards 2019 | Legends Show

The Stingray-sponsored 2019 CCMA Legends show at this year’s Country Music Week in Calgary at the Jack Singer Auditorium was a fantastic event. A perennial highlight during the CCMAs, The Legends Show brings together some of Canada’s legendary country artists as well as many of today’s stars.

AJ Mitchell | Interview | Stingray Rising Stars

AJ Mitchell is a singer-songwriter and musician who is currently signed to Epic Records. He gained an impressive following in 2017 after posting clips of himself singing and performing covers on YouTube and Instagram. His first independent single, "Used To Be," was written by Mitchell at age 13 and has over 60 million streams.

On his 69th birthday, which took place on July 20, he should embrace his age. Now doing a residency at the House of Blues in Las Vegas, he recently issued a reunion album, Santana IV, with most of the original band members playing together for the first time in some 45 years.

The Doors at the Bowl: Mick, LSD and a Moth

To play the Hollywood Bowl. For any musician, that has to be a career highlight. The Doors performed in that revered venue in 1968, and Ray Manzarek, in his interview for Qello Concerts, articulated the import of such an occasion.

The Dead at the End of ‘So Many Roads’

It’s not a sexy, round-number anniversary, but I bet Deadheads know that July 9 was the date of the last Grateful Dead concert with Jerry Garcia. That was in 1995, at Soldier Field in Chicago.
